Answers to frequently asked questions

  • Each session includes preparation beforehand, where I review the information you provide and spend time connecting with your animal companion independently.

During the session, we’ll meet virtually through Zoom and walk through the observations, impressions, and themes that came forward. You’ll also have space to ask questions or explore specific concerns related to your animal companion.

Afterward, you’ll receive written session notes along with a follow-up check-in to revisit anything that has shifted or surfaced since the initial session.

  • You’ll need a current photo of your animal companion, general background information, and a quiet space for the call. Beyond that, I simply encourage you to come with an open mind and a willingness to observe the experience without needing to have everything figured out beforehand.

  • Yes. My training includes professional certification through Nancy Windheart, additional study with Tammy Billups focused on honoring our soul contracts with animals, training in animal reiki, and pet death doula certification through Monique Brignoni.

  • A pet death doula provides emotional and energetic support for both the animal and the humans moving through the transition process together.

I approach this work with the understanding that death is not simply an ending, but a deeply meaningful transition. Part of my role is helping you stay grounded and present so your animal feels calm and supported during that time.

Animals are highly responsive to our emotional state. When we slow down, breathe, and remain connected to the present moment, it often changes the experience for both the animal and the people who love them.

  • I work with all animals. In addition to dogs and cats, I have worked with horses, birds, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and other companion animals.

  • No. Sessions are held virtually and do not require you or your animal companion to be physically present with me. Before the session, I’ll ask for a photograph of your animal, their name, how long they’ve been with you, who lives in the household, and any questions or concerns you’d like to explore.

  • I connect with your animal companion by tuning into the impressions, images, emotional cues, and sensations that come through during the session. What I receive often arrives as snapshots or pieces of information rather than full narratives.

My role is to communicate those observations as clearly and objectively as possible. I do not force interpretation or tell you what something “must” mean. You know your relationship and your animal best, so the session becomes a collaborative process of understanding what resonates within your experience.

  • Yes. I currently share my life with three dogs and two Mojave Desert tortoises, along with many wild animals around the property who regularly come to visit.
